Homeschool Class Descriptions
Core Robotics
(four 2-hour meetings)
Introduces Lego parts; touch, light, and rotation sensors; the RCX; and Robolab programming.
Advanced Robotics (three 2-hour meetings)
Varied courses apply what has been learned in the Core course. Students investigate many different aspects of robotics such as communications, using multiple sensors, coordinating robotic tasks, building and operating large structures and automating tasks. In addition to building many interesting projects, students also learn to program their robots using more sophisticated techniques.

Robots and Gears (five 2-hour meetings)
Class meets after school to investigate the mathematics of gears as it applies to building and programming various types of robots.
